See it in action

Ninety seconds tells you more than any feature list

Two videos: a short trailer of what Imperium SDS does, and a complete start-to-finish walkthrough of the workflow β€” importing supplier sheets, building a formulation, reviewing the draft and rendering the document.

Imperium SDS in ninety seconds

From a supplier PDF to a finished safety data sheet β€” the whole product at a glance.

How to use it β€” the full walkthrough

Importing materials, building a formulation, reviewing the draft with the AI reviewers, and rendering documents β€” every step, start to finish, in about twenty minutes.

Planned features

On the roadmap β€” not in the product yet.

Product label studio

Container labels built straight from the finished sheet β€” signal word, pictograms and statements already in place β€” sized for the label stock you print on.

Supplier SDS library

A shared library of supplier safety data sheets, with help finding suppliers for the chemicals you need.

Formulation help

Guided formula building against the input requirements you define β€” so a new formulation starts from the constraints, not a blank sheet.

Features

Everything between raw materials and a finished SDS

One workspace that takes a formulation from supplier documents to a rendered, regulation-ready safety data sheet.

AI supplier-SDS import

Drop in a supplier's PDF or Word SDS and the AI pipeline extracts composition, hazards, and physical data β€” cross-checked before anything lands in your library.

Deterministic GHS classification

Mixture classification is computed, not guessed: additivity rules, concentration cut-offs, EU harmonised entries, and specific concentration limits β€” the same inputs always give the same result.

Master chemical library

A 70,000+ chemical library out of the box β€” identities and synonyms across the full TSCA inventory, with curated hazard data and physical properties for thousands of common industrial substances β€” searchable by CAS, name, or trade synonym, and expanded and corrected with every release.

Regulatory screening built in

TSCA, SARA 313, CERCLA, California Prop 65, DOT hazmat, and NIOSH/OSHA exposure limits are screened automatically and land in the right SDS sections β€” sourced from official regulatory sources and updated regularly as the agencies revise their lists.

Formulation workspace

Build formulations with typeahead over your materials and the shared library, live totals, revision snapshots, and a classification preview before you ever generate a document.

Draft, review, render

Composing a draft is free and editable field by field; classification stays locked to the chemistry. Render finished PDF or DOCX documents when you're ready β€” every generation is kept and numbered.

GHS labels

Print product and workplace labels straight from any draft or finished sheet β€” pictograms, signal word, and hazard statements always matching the SDS, in standard label sizes and every document language. Free and unlimited.

EU poison-centre notifications

Selling into the EU? Generate the UFI for your labels and export a complete IUCLID poison-centre notification dossier, pre-checked against ECHA validation rules and ready to upload to the ECHA Submission Portal under your own account. Included at no extra cost.

AI draft review

Independent AI reviewers critique your draft's classification and key fields, cite the regulation sections they relied on, and suggest fixes β€” you decide what to apply. Your content is never used to train AI models.

Speaks your languages

Full English support, plus SDS output in Spanish, French, German, Korean, Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch: hazard and precautionary statements use the regulator's own published wording, while supporting text is professionally assisted translation undergoing ongoing human review β€” anything machine-assisted is clearly flagged on the document until reviewed. The interface works in all eight languages plus Amharic.

Team seats

One account, as many seats as your team needs. Everyone shares the account's monthly AI credits and storage, each seat works in its own workspace, and the account owner can review the whole team's work read-only.

Private by design

Your materials, formulations, and documents are isolated to your company's workspace β€” never shared with other customers, never published, and never used to train AI models.

How it works

Formulation to finished SDS in three steps

1

Bring in your materials

Import supplier SDSs, pick chemicals straight from the master library, or enter materials by hand. Everything lands CAS-matched and ready to use.

2

Build the formulation

Compose your mixture with live percentage totals and an instant classification preview β€” hazard codes, pictograms, signal word, and the regulatory notes behind each decision.

3

Draft, review, render

Compose an editable draft for free, optionally put it in front of the AI review panel, then render the finished PDF or DOCX β€” numbered, archived, and ready to ship.

Want a human on it? Submit any draft for an insured certified review by our team β€” a flat $99.0 per sheet, no quote, no waiting weeks.

Ground-truth regulatory data

EU Annex VI harmonised classifications, concentration-band ground truth for famously banded substances, the full 49 CFR hazmat table, and NIOSH exposure limits for 600+ chemicals β€” official sources, refreshed with every release.

Unlimited generation, deterministic core

The classification and rendering engine is pure computation β€” no AI in the loop, no per-document metering. Generate as many SDSs, revisions, and language editions as your operation needs.

The AI question

Skeptical of AI-written SDSs? So are we.

The common criticisms of "AI SDS generators" are mostly fair β€” for tools that let a language model write the document. Imperium SDS is built the other way around: the chemistry is computed, and AI is only ever the inspector, never the author. The AI never makes a decision on your documents β€” it advises, and every choice stays yours.

The criticism "AI tools guess hazard classifications and miss concentration thresholds and mixture rules."
How Imperium SDS works Classification here isn't AI at all. A deterministic GHS engine computes it from additivity rules, concentration cut-offs, EU Annex VI harmonised entries, and specific concentration limits. The same formulation gives the same classification every time β€” and it's locked: not even our own AI reviewer can change it.
The criticism "Automated platforms break the mandatory 16-section GHS format."
How Imperium SDS works Documents render from a fixed, jurisdiction-aware 16-section template. The layout is code, not a model's best guess β€” no generative system ever touches the page.
The criticism "AI tools run on stale, generic chemical data."
How Imperium SDS works Our regulatory screens come from official publications β€” the full 49 CFR hazmat table, EPA TRI, California Prop 65, NIOSH exposure limits, ECHA's harmonised classification list β€” versioned and shipped with every release, with the authoritative source recorded behind each decision.
The criticism "Machine translation garbles multilingual SDSs."
How Imperium SDS works The regulatory text that matters most β€” every non-English hazard and precautionary statement β€” is the regulator's own published wording, never a translation of ours. Supporting narrative text uses professionally assisted translation under ongoing human review, and any document containing not-yet-reviewed text says so right on the sheet β€” nothing is silently guessed.
The criticism "One-size-fits-all output ignores regional requirements."
How Imperium SDS works Every document targets its jurisdiction β€” OSHA HazCom 2012, WHMIS 2015, EU CLP, NOM-018-STPS β€” with the matching Section 1 identity block, regional exposure-limit tables, and transport data.

Where we DO use AI β€” reading supplier PDFs and reviewing drafts β€” it works as an inspector: independent AI reviewers critique the computed result and cite the exact regulation sections they relied on, and you choose what to accept. Final sign-off always belongs to you: before any SDS renders, you confirm that a qualified person on your team reviews and approves it before use. We build that step into the workflow instead of pretending to replace it.

FAQ

Common questions

Is SDS generation really unlimited?

Yes. Classification and document rendering run on a deterministic engine β€” no AI, no per-document cost β€” so there is nothing to meter. AI credits are only spent when you use AI: importing a supplier SDS or running an AI draft review.

What exactly is an AI credit?

Credits pay for the operations that call AI models. Importing a supplier SDS costs 1 credit; an AI draft review costs 3–4 depending on the depth you pick. Starter includes 40 credits per month and Professional 100, shared across all seats β€” and unused credits roll over, banking up to 4Γ— your monthly amount. Need more? Refill anytime right from your team panel ($2.50/credit on Starter, $2.00 on Professional); purchased credits never expire and don't count against the rollover cap.

What happens to my data if I cancel or my subscription lapses?

A lapsed subscription only pauses access β€” your materials, formulations, generated documents, and AI review history are kept in retention for at least 60 days. Restart the subscription within that window, sign in with the same login, and your workspace is exactly as you left it. Coming back after longer? Contact us β€” we can usually restore it.

How do seats work for a team?

Your subscription includes one seat; each additional seat is $10/month. Seats share the account's monthly AI credits but every user keeps a private workspace β€” the account owner manages who has access, resets passwords, and deactivates seats, but never sees anyone's content.

Who owns my formulations and documents?

You do. Materials, formulations, and generated documents are private to your company's workspace β€” they are never shared with other customers or used to train AI models, and deactivated seats keep their data until you say otherwise.

Do you offer private or on-premise hosting?

Yes β€” on the Enterprise plan ($499/month, arranged directly with us). You can run on a private dedicated server with nobody else's data alongside yours, or have Imperium SDS installed locally inside your own network for a one-time fixed price. Contact us to talk through your setup.

What is a certified review?

A human review of a finished draft by our team for a flat $99.0 per sheet. Your submission is frozen exactly as sent, checked against the data you supplied and the regulatory datasets the engine uses, and delivered back as a certified PDF β€” or returned with notes, in which case resubmitting is free. Certified reviews are backed by our professional liability insurance. Outsourced authoring bureaus typically quote several hundred dollars per sheet and days to weeks of turnaround.

Are the generated documents compliant?

Documents follow the GHS 16-section format with hazard classification computed from authoritative sources β€” EU harmonised entries, concentration limits, and official regulatory lists β€” and use regulator-published statement text in every language. As with any authoring tool, a qualified person on your team gives the final review before an SDS ships with your product.
